The Four Houses

Aurora prizes courage, Eclipse ambition, Meridian loyalty, Polaris wisdom. Every student is sorted into one and wears its colors for seven years. Rivalries run deep — Aurora and Eclipse oldest and bitterest of all — but a House is also a family for those who arrived without one.

The Blood Lineages

Magic runs thicker in some families than others. The Ancient Blood are proud of generations of practice; the New Blood arrive from the ordinary world and learn fast; the Mixed Blood walk both worlds; and the rare Enchanted Blood carry a fae or stranger ancestor whose gifts surface uninvited. None is truly stronger than another — only louder about it.

The Five Practices

Students train in five schools of practice: the Spellcaster duels and defends, the Potioneer brews cure and ruin, the Transfigurer reshapes matter, the Naturalist tends beasts and growing things, and the Seer reads omens and minds. Most settle into one calling; a few stubborn souls chase them all and master none.
